100% Merlot, the oak (73% American, 26% new) seems a bit overbearing with notes of sweet spices and pine overlaying red fruit. It's medium bodied with tart, citrusy flavors and firm tannins.

A straightforward, yet well-made Merlot that offers muted aromas and flavors of black fruits, spice and hints of herbs, the 2010 Merlot Reserve has a supple, balanced palate that holds good acidity, ripe tannin and a clean finish. There's not much complexity or depth here, yet it's easy drinking and I like the overall profile. Enjoy bottles over the coming 4-5 years. Drink now-2018.

Firm in texture, this features a blanket of fine tannins around a core of green olive and dark berry flavors, mingling smoothly on the finish. Drink now through 2017. 4,451 cases made.
