The 20th anniversary of this bottling, this wine is principally Cabernet Sauvignon (70%) and Merlot (26%) with the fruit coming largely from Canoe Ridge and Cold Creek vineyards. Alluring café au lait, toast, dark chocolate and cherry aromas are followed by black and blue fruit flavors that linger on the finish.

Wine AdvocateI was blown away by the quality of the 2012 Artist Series Meritage, and this Cabernet Sauvignon-based blend has rock-star notes of black raspberries, cassis, chocolate, smoked earth and creamy licorice. Full-bodied, concentrated and seamless, with no shortage of mid-palate depth or tannin, drink it anytime over the coming 15 years or so.

Wine SpectatorFocused, sleek and sinewy, with a blanket of fine tannins swaddling an expressive core of smoky, meaty red berry and floral flavors, persisting impressively. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Malbec. Drink now through 2022. 4,400 cases made.
