Tenor 1:1 Red 2010

Tenor 1:1 Red 2010

SKU nb 143

In 1:1, we blend to reflect a style similar to the wines found on the Left Bank of Bordeaux. This consists mostly of Cabernet Sauvignon and consistently delivers power, structure, finesse and longevity. The most recent release of this wine, it has great persistence and depth with freshness and a heady mixture of ripe red fruit and a savory herb distillate.

Wine AdvocateLooking at the top, Cabernet Sauvignon dominated release, the 2010 1:1 Columbia Valley incorporates slightly more Merlot than normal and checks in as 42% Cabernet Sauvignon, 31% Merlot, 19% Cabernet Franc and 8% Malbec that spent 20 months in 100% new French oak. It offers fabulous purity in its cassis, licorice, toasted spice, graphite and lead pencil shaving like aromas and flavors. Full-bodied, tight, focused and elegant, with integrated acidity and building tannin that comes through with additional time in the glass, this rock star Bordeaux blend will have upwards of two decades of longevity.

Wine EnthusiastThis wine is 42% Cabernet Sauvignon, 26% Merlot, 23% Cabernet Franc and 9% Malbec from Hedges Estate, Red Mountain, Stillwater and Weinbau vineyards. It's youthful at present, with aromas of woodspice, coffee, blackberry and graphite. The palate displays muscular fruit flavors surrounded by a framework of dry, chewy tannins.
