Jameson Caskmates Stout Edition Irish Whiskey BottleJameson Caskmates - Finished in Craft Beer Barrells - When the Jameson Master Distiller met the Master Brewer from Franciscan Wells for a drink, a plan was hatched to send a few Jameson casks to their brewery down the road for them to age their craft Irish stout. The time came for the casks to return home and our Master Distiller saw an opportunity which piqued his curiosity. He re-filled the stout-seasoned barrels with Jameson Whiskey, and Jameson Caskmates emerged; a whiskey that retains all the triple distilled smoothness of Jameson Original, with a truly unique finish. The subtle suggestion of hops, cocoa and coffee are signposts that it has bumped shoulders with stout; however, Caskmates is undeniably a member of the Jameson family. Nose: The initial aroma of freshly mown Hay is complimented by a crisp Orchard Fruit character, Green Apples and Pears along with a twist of Lime Zest. Mild Pot Still Spices appear, deepening from Green Tea to Hazel Nut and Milk Chocolate. The lingering Hop influence combines effortlessly with Toasted Oak and Barley Grains to form a solid base. Taste: As expected, there is the initial sweet mouth coating typical of the Irish Pot Still Whiskey inclusion. Then the effect of the Beer Cask finish becomes apparent with the subtle touch of Hops and Cocoa Beans. Some Marzipan and Charred Oak add to the complexity. Finish: Long and sweet with Milk Chocolate and Butterscotch Enjoy it neat or on the

Midleton Dair Ghaelach Bluebell Forest Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey Tree No 4 #4IRISH OAK REBORN Midleton Dair Ghaelach is our first whiskey to be finished in Irish Oak casks. Each bottle can be traced back to an individual tree in the Irish estate that the wood was procured from, in this case , the Ballaghtobin Estate in Co. Kilkenny. Nine 130-year-old trees from Grinsell’s Wood, within the Ballaghtobin Estate, were felled in April 2012. To craft the oak into barrels, fellow artisans at the Maderbar sawmills in Baralla , north-west Spain, used the quarter-sawing process to cut the trees into staves under the watchful eye of the Midleton Masters. The staves were then transferred to the Antonio Páez Lobato Bodega cooperage in Jerez, where they were laid out for drying. After 15 months, the staves were worked into 48 Hogshead casks, each of which was given a medium toast, and brought back to the Midleton Distillery, Co. Cork. Our Masters at the Midleton Distillery invested significant time researching the differences between Irish, Spanish and American Oak, this allowed them to understand what affects the Irish Oak would have on the whiskey. The distinctive Irish Oak contributes to the enhanced vanilla, caramel and chocolate flavors of Midleton Dair Ghaelach. It also gives the wonderfully sweet, caramel and toasted notes that are detectable on the nose.
Jameson Cooper's CrozeOur 5th generation Head Cooper, Ger Buckley, knows everything there is to know about wood, casks, butts and barrels. To celebrate his passion for Coopering, we have created The Cooper’s Croze, the first of the Whiskey Makers Series to launch in the U.S. Focusing on the profound influence the wood yields on a whiskey’s character, The Cooper’s Croze uses virgin American oak, seasoned bourbon and Iberian sherry barrels. The whiskey’s namesake – the croze – is named after Ger’s favorite tool, an implement used to make the groove into which the head of the cask or barrel is positioned. Tasting Notes This non chill filtered whiskey effortlessly carries the charred virgin oak character with vanilla sweetness from the seasoned bourbon barrels and rich fruit flavors and a fine balance of floral and spice notes from the sherry barrels.

Irish Mist LiqueurIrish Mist was the first liqueur to be produced in Ireland and is currently the only brand worldwide to have the word “Irish” in its registered name. Commercial production began in 1947 at Tullamore, CountyOffaly. The company’s history dates back to 1829 when the Tullamore Distillery was founded to produce Irish Whiskey. Irish Mist is based on the ancient recipe for heather wine, a spirit blended with honey, herbs and spices. The chieftains and nobles of Ireland’s ancient clans had drunk heather wine for centuries. Irish Mist, Ireland’s legendary Irish whiskey liqueur, is a classical, premium, high strength liqueur made from a unique blend of Irish whiskey, honey, herbs and other spirits. "Irish Mist is an Irish whiskey with honey and “natural aromatic spices,” the flavor is quite muted. A touch of honey, maybe some cinnamon and cloves, all on a very mild whiskey base. It’s kind of surprising that it’s a full 70 proof — but served on the rocks it certainly helps out with ailments of the throat (guilty!)." Drinkhacker.com
